EUREKA!!: Technology in the 1800s.

Hear about how Meredith Primary School worked alongside Ballarat’s famous Sovereign Hill to build a successful community partnership that culminated in students spending an exciting, fun filled day at their site with iPads in tow. Starting with our students’ iLearning topic looking at changes in local society, following a design thinking approach, the students created individual projects to answer their own BIG QUESTIONS.

We will tell you all about the student projects, the enthusiasm it brought to us the teachers and to the community, who came to view them. We will tell you how each individual student was able to teach the others what they have learned, and how successful peer feedback was throughout the whole process.

We will also discuss the process of setting up our community connection and how that led to the students creating magic at Sovereign Hill. Movie making, advertising, photography and more, all involved in our fabulous Sovereign Hill Creation Day.
